AICCM Victorian Division

The Victorian Division of the AICCM aims to promote networking and the exchange of information between local members. In this we also aim to provide a welcome environment to student conservators.

Victorian Bushfires

AICCM Victorian Division have mapped out a plan to assist those who have lost keepsakes and collections in the fire. We are interested in hearing from those who need help, and those who can provide help.

Activities

Our “Off the Record” talks are usually held once a month and are presented by Victorian Division members or special guests. Talks are held at a variety of venues around the city of Melbourne.

“Off the Record” topics to date have included:

• The conservation of particular materials, such as Tibetan Thankga paintings, frames, and public statues
• Studio and lab tours
• Writing and publishing tips
• Workshop and symposium reviews

The Victorian Division also holds an annual Christmas party.

We have discussed hosting other related activities such as film nights showing films featuring conservators, a reading group, and a sewing circle. (Think funky conservator aprons or tool rolls!).
